This is MY story and MY experiences. I hope that all turns out well so that there is a positive story out there for other women going through the same/similar thing/s. TRIGGER & TMI WARNING!!

I’ll start from the beginning. I got the bar out in July last year with the intention of TTC baby number 3. In November last year, I had a chemical pregnancy, and immediately started trying again. In March, I was diagnosed with PCOS after having very irregular periods. I was then put on Metformin for this.

April 2nd I got a faint positive. I took multiple tests over the next few days to ensure it wasn’t another chemical.

From the day before this, I started having a light brown/pink mucus on and off. I had my HCG levels checked and they were at 520, so they were not concerned.

A week later, due to having had Gestational Diabetes in my first pregnancy, I was sent for an early GTT, which came back positive for GD again. Sigh. My HCG levels were checked again, and they were doubling as they should.

THEN…two days ago, I started bleeding. No cramping at all, but it’s quite worrisome due to the colour and amount. However, due to the public holidays and the fact that I have an ultrasound booked for tomorrow, I decided not to go and get checked out. I know that if this is a miscarriage, there is nothing that they can do anyway, so what is the point. A lot of people will probably be down on me about that, but it is what it is.

In saying that though, what is keeping my hopes up is that yesterday, the digital said 2-3 and then today said 3+. So I'm not giving up hope!

My ultrasound is at 2pm tomorrow (so 18 hours from now), so I will update as soon as I have answers and am at home again. I promise to bring answers! Wish me luck!!

Update: Though I already knew it deep down, I was hoping it wasn’t the answer I was going to get. Unfortunately, I have miscarried, and I lost it all this morning. Ultrasound confirmed. I’m so devastated.

Thank you all for your wishes and prayers. They did not go unnoticed, and I really appreciate it. Thank you, ladies. xx
