Is the covid vaccine safe?

I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and i turn 20 years old and am thinking bout getti g the covid vaccine but has anyone had anything bad happen to them after taking it while pregnant? I have my prenatal appt. On the 28th this month and I really wanna see my baby so bad i just dont want to put my baby in any risk? What do yall think mamas?

Well one it hasn’t been approved yet soooo it’s not technically a vaccine, more of an emergency experiment. Two ive heard a lot of pregnant women getting it and miscarrying but some are fine. Three it hasn’t been out long enough to know if it’s actually safe. What are the long term effects on baby AND mom? No one knows because it’s still in the experimental stage. Typically a vaccine takes years because they look at the long term effects but everyone seems to be overlooking that. It’s has a 99% survival rate I will take my chances to be honest. Been traveling through multiple states since this all started with a one year old now two and none of us have been sick. BUT our family eats healthy and take our vitamins SOO we typically don’t get sick often anyways

They think it is. The issue is that there hasn't been a large enough sample of babies whose moms received the vaccine in utero go through infancy, developmental milestones etc yet. I'm not hearing of averse reactions for the mom, but I'm personally not rushing to get it.

So just go look at the COVID vaccine on the FDA website it says right there that phase 3 clinical trials are set to end in April 2023.  
They are giving this experimental agent to the population without knowing what will happen.  Anyone who gets the shot is living the trial.

Hi there! I’m 20 & 7w3d pregnant. I got my first dose shortly after my positive test and my second today. I didn’t have a fever or anything and I saw my little baby wriggling on an ultrasound today with a strong heartbeat and growth right on track. I did however talk to my doctors and midwives first and they all recommended it. Nothing bad has happened since and I feel fine.

It really hasn’t been TESTED especially for LONG TERM issues for people outside of us preggo moms. I agree with do what’s best for you . I would personally wait until your first trimester is over .best of luck girl . You got this .

I’ve seen they are coming out with new info saying it’s safe, but I would ask your OB at your appointment if you can. Congratulations!

It’s supposedly safe, but I’d personally wait until your second trimester just in case you spike a fever. Also, my OB said to only get the Moderna or Pfizer.
