Have any of u ever been tested for herpes,? I’m scared

I recently told my doctor to give me std test and surprisingly she tested me for the FULL std test including herpes, everything has come back negative HIV , etc included but the last one I’m waiting on is the herpes, idk if I’m just overthinking but I’m scared lol any encouraging words will help .

Yeah it's good they do the full panel when I got test a long while ago they said I tested positive for HSV-1 but everything else was negative. I started freaking out but my doctor said it extremely common, 95% of the population have it, he said he had it as well. HSV-2 is common as well not as common as 1 but you'd be surprised on how many people have it, there are also meds to keep it away I believe. Try not to worry to much, I'm sure everything will be fine! Hugs ❤️

Yes, I have HSV2. Its lifelong and nothing you can do about it. When you get outbreaks you can get a medication to help speed the outbreak along.

Just make sure they tell you which herpes u test positive for if any. Theres 2, one is extremely common and the other is the one that is usually passed sexually. I'm not sure which is which off the top of my head but u can do a quick Google search.
