Scheduled for an HSG test....

Hello ladies. I saw my ob/gyn and was scheduled for an HSG test. I need to take an antibiotic before and after the test to prevent infection. I will need to take ibuprofen one hour before hand. Question? Why was I prescribed Xanax, too? Is this test that bad? Omg! It makes me nervous to even think about it. Will I be sick after the test? Anybody have experience with this?
