Help! Diaper Rash Question???

Hi my baby is 2 weeks and she as a small diaper rash (red around the butt crack area) can i put diaper rash cream around the butt hole or best to avoid it?

Once I see my LO has a diaper rash, I wash her bum with water for every diaper change and use bag balm as diaper cream! Clears up within 24/48hrs!

Also when my daughter gets a bad rash I use cornstarch to dry everything up really well and then a thick layer of diaper cream.

I been putting butt paste since we got home. They poop so often I feel like it’s a must it’s a must. Airing out helps too.
