Post partum checkup

So my pp checkup was like 2 min long. I was just asked questions about how i felt and the doctor pressed on my stomach and said feels good. I had a vaginal deliver with 2nd degree tearing. And the doctor i was seeing said they usually check their patients 2 weeks after delivery so my pp appointment was 2 weeks after the birth. I think they should have at least checked down there. Has anyone not been checked before
