A piece of hair is tied to my string, could I still have sex?

Hi..yes...hello. I had sex a few weeks ago, in the mix of things I guess a piece of hair got knotted to my iud string. Went to the ER all they could do was trim it. Told me to make a ob appointment. Crazy I know. I have to wait three weeks pretty much because that's when the ob will be available.

Well...am I able to have sex or what?

I know it's not ideal, but just out of curiosity do you think it would hurt anything?
