My BF forgot my birthday :(

My boyfriend of 5 years forgot my birthday. We woke up this morning and said he was going to the gym. I really thought he was about to come back with some surprise.

To my surprise he texted me when he was about to leave asking me if I could make him some breakfast. Oh.

Then he mentioned going to a winery. So I was like oh yea that’s a great thing. I started getting ready because we were going to leave around 1 and he came in covered in sweat and grease from the garage. I asked him how long until he was ready.

He said he just had too much to do today to go out.

This is the SIXTH birthday of mine together. It is also his aunts birthday today and he texted her happy birthday this morning so yes he is aware of the date.

I asked if we had any plans tonight thinking maybe he has a surprise and he said no. So I said okay well I’m going over to a friends for a wine night. His response “well I don’t have to go, right?”

NOPE.

I know it’s just a birthday but I always put so much effort into his special day. I’ve planned trips, parties, surprises. And he didn’t do a single thing for me:(
