Trigger warning 🚨 sexual assault.

Was it still sexual assault if we were all minors? They were 15 and 12 (it was two different guys at two different times and I was younger than both of them) and sometimes I have trouble believing it was sexual assault and attempted rape because of that? I convince myself that they didn’t know what they were doing and I’m scared no one would believe me or take me seriously because they’re just being “kids”. The 12 year old was doing the same to my best friend regularly and since he was her step dads brother and lived with them and her mother found out what he had been doing to her. So a part of me wants to believe it was malicious... but I still overthink.
