Would it be too soon?

Hey y’all one of my sweet dogs died the Sunday before last. I believe his birthday was actually today or it may have been yesterday, he would’ve been 15 if he were still with us. Anyways he was more of my dads dog and was absolutely just obsessed and in love with my dad. He’s definitely sad but seems to be getting better. His birthday is at the end of June and my brothers and I were thinking about getting him another dog either a puppy or dog that’s about a year old. We do have two others, one of which is mine and the other is my brothers and I’s dog who is also pretty old now. Do y’all think late June would be too soon? I personally feel like it would be fine but also want to find a dog that will fit the best so it’s not really a rush for me. My youngest brother feels like our dads birthday would be fine and the other one thinks we should wait until Christmas. What do y’all think? I know y’all don’t know us or my dad but just from personal experience how would y’all feel?
