Genetic testing before starting iui ?

Did you ladies fertility clinic make you and your partner do genetic testing before starting iui ? The clinic I go to here in New York called RMA would not start my IUI cycle which is supposed to be this cycle since AF started yesterday until they get the results from my partners genetic testing I’m super frustrated ! Did anybody go through this ?

My facility had it as an option but not a requirement. They didn’t push for it either but my husband and I already had a child together before so that might be why.

I did just to get it out of the way but it was an option and my genetic test was not covered by insurance it’s a really expensive test my bill was about $4,000 for the test 😭 the good news was that everything came back normal and because of that my husband didn’t have to do his test.

I went to RMA as well and both my husband & I did the full genetic testing before we could start.

Yep, we both had to get it done before moving forward with any treatment. It’s annoying but will give you peace of mind and help a ton in the long run!

I had a miscarriage and my RE asked me if I wanted genetic testing so when we were getting other bloods done they did it at the same time. I don’t think it was required and because all mine were negative they won’t have my husband do it.
