Baby’s door open or closed at night?
Hi! For those of you who’s babies sleep in a crib in their own rooms, do you keep the door open or closed at night? And do you keep your door open or closed at night when sleeping?
I’ve heard having the door open and a fan on (not directed at baby) can help keep air flow fresh and promote good air exchange while breathing due to carbon monoxide getting pushed around vs. being stagnant. I’ve also heard the fan aids in white noise.
Also with the weather getting warmer keeping the door open could help keep a room cool/not stuffy- OR could trap cool air in the room.
BUT I’ve also heard that doors should be closed when sleeping at night because if there is a fire having the door closed creates a line of defense/barrier and allows for a safe escape out of a window.
