Vaccinated and transmitting?

Anyone in the medical field answer a question?
My husband is completely vaccinated as of Feb. He went to work today and found out his best friend/co worker tested positive over the weekend. 
We take care of his older parents on the weekends.. meal prep, cleaning etc. Now were worried if he can end up passing it. I looked and there is not enough clear information to be sure. 
Can he get tested? Should he be? I'm vaccinated too, can he pass it to me? I have 2 kids that are just fine but worried about them too.

Per the cdc, while being vaccinated, you can get contract and transmit covid. Your husband should be tested to be safe and the elderly parents should be vaccinated if possible.

Like with all vaccines there is a chance that your husband could get the virus even vaccinated. It’s pretty low but you still might want to get at least your husband tested if he had long contact with his best friend in the days before the positive test.
