Toddler and baby left in car???

So here I am just trying to kill my cravings at the grocery store when the first thing I see when I pull in is a toddler and a baby in a mini van with no windows rolled down and no adult with them. I’m not sure what to think but all I can think is WTF?!?!? Of course I tell my boyfriend who’s running in for me to tell an associate about this as I can’t believe someone would be so arrogant! I was so upset with what was going on that I had to call the cops and let them know. I just hope they find out who this person is and talk to them about it

Ugh this breaks my heart so much. 
I witnessed a woman put a baby who couldn’t be more than 5 or 6 months old in the passenger seat and start her car. She buckled HERSELF in and that’s when i realized she was about to take off. I hopped out of my car with a quickness and she saw me and sped off. I made the very tough decision not to go after her for fear that it would only endanger the baby further. I got only half of her license plate. 
What she didn’t know was i was going to offer to buy her a car seat. No questions asked. I just wish she would have let me talk to her for just a second. I realized as I’m typing this that it isn’t really the same as your story. My heart is just heavy about it. I hope those babies are safe.

I think they should just make it to where an alarm on the car goes off until everyone is outside of the vehicle. 
I get being tired, but even when I’ve been exhausted I’ve made sure to get my son out of the car.

It’s such a careless act to leave your kids in the car alone, but you did the right thing by calling the police, breaking/smashing the window would have traumatised them. I would have certainly broken the window if you could clearly see they needed to get out of the car ASAP due to heat or neglect! good on you for exploring other options and calling the police.

This is so insanely careless. I won’t even leave my 7 and 9 year old in the car, windows down for 60 seconds while I pay for gas... they always come in with me.

The ONLY time I leave my baby in the car is if I’m pumping gas and can look right inside the window at him. I don’t understand how people forget their kids. Like literally...I’m ALWAYS thinking about my baby.
