Munchkin 360 cups for 6 month old?

Does anyone know if these cups are good for development? I've heard starting with these helps bypass the straw/sippy phase and helps them just learn to drink with a normal cup.

Feeding Littles (feeding experts on Instagram) do not recommend 360 cups for prolonged use. They recommend open cups and straw cups. If you look on their website they have a whole article on cups.

My son could not suck hard enough to get the liquid out of those cups at 6 months. At 2 years old we are just now using them. Straw cups and sippy cups are fine between 1 and 2 years of age and are an easier translation from a bottle. But do what you think is right for your baby. I feel like everyone buys a bunch of different kinds of cups in the beginning to see what works for them.

We did open cups and straw cups right from the start.  My son’s feeding specialist/speech therapist said those were the best for mouth development.  They hold their mouth in a different position than recommended while using the sippy and 360

We have one and I’ve tried it with our 7 month old but it’s too big for her... she physically cannot use it yet. 
We use a silicone open cup (big mess but she does drink from it), the Avent transition sippy cup (this is the easiest because it’s so similar to a bottle), and I’ve also tried a weighted straw cup but she doesn’t have the hang of the straw yet.

Our OT is against them since they teach bad habits of how to drink from an open face cup. Our OT recommended breast/bottle to straw cup to open face cup avoiding sippy cups and 360 cups...

I can’t speak for the development side of things, but I will say that while my daughter loves hers from 6 months to now (2 years old) she chokes on it every single time she drinks from it. Way too much comes out at once. We did end up switching to mostly straw cups. Like starbucks tumbler kinda cups and she seems to drink better with those
