Help!! Bed rest after embryo transfer?

So I have my embryo transfer scheduled for 10 and at 1 is my cousins gender reveal who I’m helping plan so probably not a good idea to attend the reveal? I’m so bummed but I don’t want to risk my embryo either 😩😭

So embryo was transferred this am! 🤯🥳🤩 We had lunch afterwards and just getting home and laying down for a bit before we go to the reveal and be there’s for a little while... thank you all! 🙏🏼 ima just go with the flow 🥰

Thank you all ladies! And they did prescribe me Valium which I guess is some kind of sedative idk if that’s why, they asked me to take it in for the appt in case I need it afterwards. I was told it doesn’t have to be complete bed rest but to lay down afterwards through the day. I’ve seen so many mixed recommendations about this that I am just as confused. The reveal is like 5 hours after the appt so I’ll probably go for a bit and take it easy 🤔

My clinic instructions did say to stay reclined day of transfer, but some of the docs in the practice voiced disagreement/outdated-ness of that guidance. I did mostly follow it, because it was a beautiful snow-stormy day and I just read my book on the couch most of it. But I don’t believe it is actually necessary.

I was told I could go to work after my transfer. I wanted to do acupuncture before and after so timing wise I didn’t go, but I’d still go to the reveal.

Why would you need to bed rest? My instructiom sheet specifically said there was no reason to bed rest. Just no heavy lifting the day of transfer.

Why is there a problem standing and waking which is all you’ll need to do attend a reveal?

Is there a reason you are on bed rest?     I went to Disney the day after mine 🤷🏼‍♀️.   My doctor just said no heavy lifting and to not allow myself to overheat.

I was not given any instructions to bed rest on day of transfer. I was just told to take it easy, no heavy lifting and no vigorous exercise. I ran a few errands directly after. I don’t see a problem in attending a reveal party.
