What are your thoughts on Artificial insemination ?

Okay so I’m almost 27 and I’ve been doing some hard thinking about taking being a parent in my own hands. I know it’s an expensive procedure however I’m willing to pay for it. I told my sister about it and she was not impressed , she completely disagreed with me and said that I would be making a mistake because every child deserves to have a father and to know him. I grew up in a two parent household (my parents are STILL married to this day💕) so a part of me agrees with her. However it’s my body and my life and I’m going to do it , I just wanted to tell her about it . She questions how I will explain to my child where his/her father is or who he is when the time comes. I told her I’ll tell my child the truth. How do all of you feel about the procedure ? Do you or someone you know have a child that is a product of “artificial insemination” ? I’d love to hear your stories and any advice or tips you may have.
