Has anybody given birth before baby shower?

My baby shower is next week and I’m starting to feel weird and I hope I don’t go into labor and at least reach the day of my baby shower. If you did give birth right before your baby shower what did u end up doing?

I had my daughter at 35 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. My baby shower was supposed to be at 36 weeks but it was cancelled. I never got any type of shower or sprinkle.

My last baby was at her baby shower. I had an emergency c-section at 36 weeks due to cholestasis and we planned her baby shower at 38 weeks.

My first, I brought her to the shower as she was already 2 weeks old.  My second, work was throwing me a shower and I gave birth 3 days before so someone just dropped off the gifts for me.  Third, my in laws planned one for 38 weeks even though I said not to as I was experiencing complications and bad never made it that far before, work planned a surprise one for 35 weeks.  I gave birth at 33 weeks so baby was in the nicu and I just canceled everything.  I could have taken him to the 38w one but it was full swing flu season and a bad one so I didn’t want to bring my preemie around a lot of people.

My SIL had her 1st 6 weeks early and the week before her shower. We set up zoom so that she could be a part of the shower as her baby was in the nicu.
