Advice/Relatable??

Hi everyone, currently I’m 16w2d and I am pretty frustrated. So far I’ve only seen my baby once and that was at my 8 week appointment. 
Has this or did this happen to anyone else?? 
We will be scheduling our anatomy scan soon, but my clinic never did the nuchal fold scan or anything like that. Which honestly makes me feel like I have no idea what’s going on with my pregnancy. 
For the last 2 appointments I had (12week and 16) we only listened to my baby’s heart beat, which I can do at home since I got a doppler.

Many doctors and midwives are moving away from multiple ultrasounds and only do 1-2 for the whole pregnancy: a dating scan and the anatomy scan. Some practices only do an anatomy scan. It’s normal.
Be sure you’re talking to your provider about any concerns or questions you have. Writing them down before hand is helpful.

I only had 2 this pregnancy, confirmation/dating and anatomy scan. Next time I see baby is when he breaks out of here in a few weeks lol.

It’s normal unfortunately 😪 I feel the same way, at my first ob appointment my doc told me I’d only be getting one ultrasound per trimester. My SO isn’t allowed back for any of them cause of covid so we’re gonna book a private one around 24ish weeks.

normal, i had an ultrasound at 11wks, 24wks and then i had an extra one at 29wks because i switched offices and they wanted to redo my anatomy scan. only thing they do is check with a doppler in between then, unless they have reason to believe baby isn’t well. i’m 39wks and she said they might do an ultrasound after my cervix check if nothings changed to make sure i’m ready for my induction

This is normal for non high risk pregnancies. Pay out of pocket for a private scan if you want more ultrasounds. Your doctor is only gonna do them when necessary. If baby has a heartbeat found on Doppler then baby is initially fine.

The nuchal fold scan is optional, it’s strange that it wasn’t offered to you but it’s not something that everyone gets. I know my doctor offered that scan but we declined (information for that scan wouldn’t change anything for us anyway).
Anyway, everything else you described is perfectly normal, that sounds like routine care. It’s typical for appointments to be a month apart at this time, and for your doctor to just listen to the heart beat on Doppler. I know it feels like a long wait between ultrasounds, but I would think of it as a good thing because it means there aren’t any concerns with pregnancy. Plus, there’s not really much else they can or need to see on ultrasound between 8 and 20 weeks. 
It feels like so many unknowns and I hear the frustration! But again it means there aren’t any concerns

That’s pretty normal. Unless there’s an issue they usually don’t do more than two maybe 3 Scans

That’s normal. When I was pregnant with my first I only had three ultrasounds. 8 weeks, 20 weeks, and 30 weeks. At every appointment we did listen to the heartbeat.

That's 100% normal. Usually you only get two ultrasounds during pregnancy. The first is the dating ultrasound around 8-10 weeks usually and the second is the anatomy scan between 18-20 weeks usually.
