Random fever??

Question

My 20 month old has never been sick or anything *knock on wood* and I noticed she kept waking up last night and this morning she was burning up. 101 fever when I took it with the ear thermometer. Nothing seems to bother her she’s not cranky or anything, just super hot. What do I do? Sorry it sounds dumb but I never had to deal with this before

Keep and eye on the fever. If she starts to act uncomfortable than do some Tylenol to try to bring the fever down. 
If fever gets up to 103 definitely attempt to reduce it with tylenol. 
Sometimes kids (and adults) get random viruses that their body needs to fight off.

Keep an eye on it but a fever doesn't necessarily mean something is terribly wrong. My girl was sick with two different viruses last summer... Roseola and something else they never gave a name for. The hospital and her Ped said it's more important to pay attention to how they are acting and feeling rather than temp... Unless it gets to like 105. Last summer she was 18 months and they said if the fever lasts more than for or five days to call back. If you're worried it doesn't hurt to call and check in with the doctor. But as long as babe is doing well and everything seems normal I wouldn't worry just yet
