Spotting one week after ending period.

Hey ladies. I ended my period this past sunday. Seemed to be a somewhat normal period, right on time. DH and I have opposite schedules at the moment, and due to work, we have not had intercourse since. Today, I have noticed some spotting when I use the bathroom. None in my panties. But on my TP. It's not dark, or pink. It's. Bright red. Last month my period seemed off. It was on time, but much worse than usual as far as pain and bleeding go. Went through 3 super pads during one work day, and lasted for 8 days rather than my usual 4 or 5. Any of you ladies know what could be going on? Should I be concerned, or is this normal? Never had this before. TIA.
