Best time to start bedtime routine for baby?

Hey everyone,
This is my second baby. He is 6 weeks. My first sleeps so well, he's 16 months. I just don't remember when I started bedtime routine with him lol (bath, dress, feed, rock). 
At the moment he goes to sleep when I do and I do the routine then. I'm still not bathing him everyday but will start now. What do you guys think?

Four months is the youngest you can start a sleep schedule. Until then, it’s all willy-nilly

Here’s my take on this. You won’t be able to start an official full on “routine” until 4 months or so. But, you can start pieces of it any time. Just simple things like turn on a certain type of white nose or song before bed, swaddle, lights out. You can start these things but know that babies don’t have the capacity to fully follow a routine quite yet. But I definitely think that certain cues can be helpful even for newborns and will make it easier to introduce routine later!

I'm pretty sure you can start a bedtime routine whenever but if you are trying to start a set schedule/bedtime you'll probably be freestyling for a few weeks yet.
