Everything I’ve read and everyone at the hospital post-delivery said breastfeeding 15-20 minutes on each side is normal. My daughter’s never been able to eat longer than 15 minutes max total and that’s usually only on one side. I have to use my Haakaa on the other side.

A lactation consultant came to my place when my daughter was 15 days old and weighed her immediately before and after a breastfeeding session where she only ate for 10 minutes on one side. Turns out she was getting about 2.5oz in that short time which is equal to her typical bottle feed of breastmilk.

I was hoping you ladies would maybe share how long your baby’s breastfeeding sessions are in relation to their age. I’m wondering what is ACTUALLY normal, not just textbook normal.
