Difference between High Risk and Regular Pregnancy
What is the difference between high risk and a regular pregnancy?
I know you go to the ob/gyn once a month for a regular pregnancy, until so many weeks, then once every two weeks... then eventually once a week.
On a High Risk, is it still once a month in addition to a regular appointment? Do these appointment typically happen the same week every month?
Also, on a high risk, do you typically get a quantitative/numerical blood hcg test during your first visit? Do you come back the next day in hopes the number doubles? How about ultra sounds? Every visit at a high risk appointment or every visit at an ob/gyn?
Help! Google isn’t telling me anything except how to identify IF your high risk.
I have HYPERthyroid / Graves Disease. It was in remission for 6 months, it was out of wack for a month, started on the medication and I got pregnant 4 weeks later. The week my period started my liver levels were crazy. High risk here I come!
