Married to a narcissist?

Question

Has anyone been married to a narcissist who was also manipulative and isolating you and has advice that I can message? I have 2 kids and I'm scared to leave because I'm not sure if I can make it on my own.

I was with an overt narcissist for 8 years. Counseling did NOT help. He refused to believe he could be at fault. He couldn’t take responsibility for anything. Any and everything was someone else’s fault. He would not and could not change. He was the eternal victim. After 8 VERY LONG and miserable years, where he sucked the life out of me, I had finally had enough. And I left, with literally nothing. No joke, had to move back in with my parents at the age of 34! But….despite having nothing and moving back in with my parents, I was happy! Over 2 years later, I’m still in weekly therapy for trauma but I’m HAPPY!! I have control of my own money, I have friends, reconnected with family, I have hobbies, and enjoy life again!! Leaving was the best decision I ever made. I wish you the best. I know it’s not easy, but once you make the decision to leave, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

Manipulative, abusive in every way I up and left one day after a horrible fight with my 2 kids left him before thought he would change but nope now filing for divorce and hes trying to get custody

Been there spent 15 years with one, everything was always my fault and I felt like I couldn’t get anything right and constantly was saying sorry all the time and that followed me into my current relationship he tells me why do you say sorry all the time I said habit haha! 
I wanted to leave so badly and we had a little boy together, I thought the same thing as yourself how I’m I going to do this without his help financially... then one day my dad came and gave me some money and he knew how miserable I was and he hated that and told me to find a new house to rent in secret and not to tell my husband about the money just find a new home ASAP so I did I found a home I rang who I needed to ring to tell them I was no longer with my husband ect.. and started moving obviously my husband wasn’t at all happy at the time but I had the support of my family and I told him to go back and live with his parents as he wanted to move into my new house saying we can work on things but I refused and I’ve not looked back.
Now I’m in a new relationship and he treats me so well we have a little boy together and honestly it was the best thing I did but you could always stay at your parents home and save for your own home in time good luck x

I personally suggest seeking a marriage councelor.... if u hv marital issues seek professional help support and guidance to get an educated and professional opinion instead of dianosing your spouse as a narc. There must be something worthy since u chose to have two kids and marriage with them. Get professional help.
