How long do you wait to sleep with someone?

I am just starting to date again after being married for 7+ years and divorce. I also have 3 beautiful children from that marriage who I want to set a good example for but they do not know I am dating again. Their father moved on the second he left the house over a year ago. So, I met a guy a few weeks ago from a friend and right off the bat he wants to be intimate and after being in a pretty loveless (sex neglected) marriage and have not had sex in a year and a half since that marriage failed, I feel like I might go nuts with this new guy if I am not careful. Part of me is nervous especially since this is the first time I’ve been with anyone since being married and with the same man for nearly 10 years. What has your experience been in this or similar situation?

There isn’t a right or wrong answer. It really comes down to what you want and how you feel. Just make sure you guys have protected sex and do a STD screening! 
Personally, I haven’t been the type to sleep on the first date. I’d have to be in a committed and exclusive relationship to start having sex. That’s just my choice though. I don’t do hook ups either. So, it really comes down to whenever you’re ready ♥️

Well me and my current bf had sex the second day we met. Although we had been talking over the phone for a couple months prior! And we are togerher and very happy! There is no right time, if you want it go get it!😊

I’d been in a similar situation 3 years ago split with my husband after 15 years together and I was a virgin wen I met him so I’d had 0 sexual experiences before him and it was a scary thought wen we split that what if I’m not good at this 🙈 
I have a child from that relationship with my ex and same as you his dad moved on pretty much as soon as his foot was out the door but took me a few months and started talking to some guy and I was nervous about getting intimate with someone new but it’s completely normal to feel this way as it’s new situation that where unfamiliar with we have only ever been that way with one person our ex’s for a really long amount of time. 
My new man I just had sex wen it felt comfortable to and it was amazing and safe to say he was better then my ex 🙈 and we are still together today and have a little boy together. 
So it’s ok to feel the way you do just go with the flow and don’t worry too much about the sex part just let it happen naturally and it might just be the best sex you’ve ever had 👍🏻

Depends. When I was younger I was the wait until in a relationship to have sex type. As I got older, that went by the wayside lol. My husband was a one-night stand lol. I never had any rules about when; if i wanted to have sex and it was on the table I would. If I didn’t feel like it or felt like waiting then I’d do that. 
My only rules are: have fun, be safe and be honest. If you take any of those away, it’s not worth it.

When I’m ready! Could be a week, could be a day, could be 6 months. With my boyfriend it was 2 weeks before we made things official, lol.

I don’t do hookups either. But this guy is probably craving sex because he also has gone awhile without it. I have been talking to him for 4 weeks almost and seen him twice. So we will see what happens. 😀
