Hemorrhoid burst

I have been dealing with an external one for the past couple of days. This morning I went number 2 and it must of burst due to when I wiped there was bright red blood. I have never had one before, but someone I knew had one and his doctor pretty much told him everything that Google has said! So, if the bleeding gets worse or lasts for more than a week then a doctor is necessary or would you just go to the doctor to make sure? I just don’t want to go to the doctor if it’s a simple waiting game fix. Which I will go if the bleeding consists. I did purchase tuck wipes, preparation h, and I will be doing the bath. Any other suggestions?

Edit: I am comfortable considering if the bleeding doesn’t stop I will. I just didn’t want to make an unnecessary appointment that could be healed or stopped in a couple days. Thus, is why I was asking.
