Do I need to get the TDAP again?

So I had my first baby in the beginning of 2020 which means I got the shot probably nov-dec 2019. And so did my husband. I am pregnant again and having this baby this summer and at my last appt they asked if I want to get the TDAP today I said no I’ll do it next time but now I’m wondering if i need it again so soon? And does my husband also need it again?

Yes, you need it for each pregnancy in order for your baby to get the benefits. Your husband should be fine though.

The reason they are offering it is so baby gets the antibodies. So you should take it every pregnancy. But your husband is good for ten years.

Husband doesn’t need it again. But it’s recommended you get it each pregnancy

Your husband doesn’t need to get it again but you should. You are already protected since you recently got it but you should get it to help protect your little one.
