Cerclage + Bed rest ?

Mama who got a preventative cerclage , were you put on a pelvic ( bed rest ) rest after that? I’m currently working full-time ( IT job) and not sure what to expect after a cerclage. Am I allowed to walk and drive to work? I’m very early in my pregnancy and MFM appointment is coming up in Week 9. Any suggestions or your experience will help? 
I had a 20 week loss (preterm labor + stillbirth) in February 2021. Though it was diagnosed as an infection, all my symptoms suggested that I had undiagnosed cervical incompetence.

I have cervical incompetence. I had a loss at 22 weeks. The next pregnancy I had to wait until 16 weeks for them to check my cervical length.  At 15 weeks I started bleeding and went to the er. I was under 1cm and had to have emergency cerclage placed the next day. I had to be on bed rest until 36 weeks, but I could drive and do light house work. With my second I had cerclage placed at 13 weeks. I didn't need to be on bed rest, but had to take it easy.  This is my 4th pregnancy. I had my cerclage place 2 weeks ago at 12weeks, 6 days.  I work in a dental office,  but at the front desk. I'm able to go to work. I can drive, do house work, and care for my other kids. I'm not allowed to lift,  stand for more than 20 mins, take walks, lift, exercise, have sex. Basically no unnecessary physical activity.  When I clean house on the weekends I set a timer for 15 mins so I make sure to rest for 15 or 20 mins before I get back up.

Answer

Pelvic and bed rest are two different things. Pelvic rest is no sex or orgasms (including masturbation).  Bed rest has some levels to it so however extreme your doctor describes. 
I haven’t had a preventative cerclage. I had an emergency cerclage placed at 16 weeks (first baby and a lucky catch!). I have been on strict bed rest and pelvic rest. I can’t cook, clean, walk more than to the bathroom etc. currently 26 weeks.
BUT my doctor told me that with a preventative cerclage (which I will have for all future pregnancies), I should not be on bed rest. Typically a preventative cerclage is placed at about 12 weeks. Pelvic rest is often still required with a preventative.
