Teething? My almost 4 month old has been slobbering and chewing on her hands for a few weeks now!

They can look like that WAY before a tooth even comes out. I think that’s just how the gums look. Just remember slobbering happens at a certain age regardless of teething so it’s not always because of that, and chewing on their hands doesn’t always mean teething either. That could be developmental and they are discovering their hands.

My son started drooling and chewing lots around that age and I totally thought he was teething too. Didn’t get his first teeth until he was 10 months old 😂 we have friends whose baby got her first teeth at 4 months though so it’s totally possible. You can usually feel the bottom-middle right behind the gums when they start to come up
