1st pregnancy, anxious, should I do nipt?

M

Hi,

I’m 29 and pregnant for the first time after ttc for two years. I’m a huge worry wart. I’m 8 weeks and my first OB appt will be next week. Waiting has been such a drag. I’ve been really anxious and worrying about a silent miscarriage because I feel like me being pregnant is too good to be true. Hopefully Theres a heartbeat next week, I’ll feel better, but I still worry about any genetic disorders. I just want a healthy baby. I am a very anxious person and always worry about other babies/people in distress and feel like I wouldn’t be able to handle any results that show my child may have a disorder considering I can’t abort due to religious reasons anyway. Maybe I’ll skip nipt because I read that sometimes they say a child may have a certain condition but once the baby is born, he or she is actually 100% healthy. Any advice? Thank you
