What do you think of the name O’kier for a boy

Pronunciation is [O-Keer]. Not going to lie , I’ve never heard this name being used before however I really like it , your opinions won’t make or break my decision just wanted to see if some of you share the same love for different names as I do.

I would probably think it was his last name if I heard it and didn’t know the child. My husband’s best friend since elementary school goes almost exclusively by his last name because they have the same first name, so people have used the last name for him to tell them apart. A lot of people have no idea that what they know him by is actually his last name. 
If I saw this name on my class roster, I’d probably think “haven’t seen that before” and then move on. One thing to consider is the challenges of punctuation in names - computer systems often take them out. It might be written Okier instead of O’kier, which would change the pronunciation.

I just think of this and unfortunately I strongly dislike Cardi b .... that being said it is very unique and if you love it you should go with it!

It sounds like a hassle because of how it is so unusual. It sounds like welsh. My old roommates last name was Llyr. Pronounced similar to “hear”. I like being unusual with names but nobody else will appreciate your ideas once the kid is in school
