Does a low lh surge mean not pregnant

Question

I know this might sound stupid but I’m currently 7-8dpo and I used a ovulation test to see if it’s positive as I heard when you’re pregnant it goes higher, and mine is very low does this mean I am not pregnant?

No it just means you don’t currently have an lh surge. Taking an ovulation test should not be used to determine pregnancy.

An OPK cannot be used as an indicator of pregnancy. It tests for something altogether different.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I had already taken a very positive pregnancy test and tried a leftover OPK for fun. OPK was negative. Did not work at all for me. Probably because OPKs detect LH and not HCG. If you're testing for pregnancy it's best to stick to pregnancy tests.
