2nd time or more mommas... do you recommend padsicles for after giving vorth? Were the benneficial/help with relief?

I hate the homemade padsicles because they don’t absorb and fit so awkwardly BUT
Absolutely freaking love the ice pack pads.  They were so comforting and soothing.  By 2 days post partum, except for the bleeding, I didn’t even feel like I just gave birth.  They bring down all the swelling.

I never used frozen anything. I used a layer of tucks and the dermaplast. Those were cooling but not jarring. Felt wonderful.

I used a bag with apple syrup (the rather solid variant) from the freezer. Yes sounds weird, but it doesn’t become solid in the freezer, which makes that it ‘fits’ comfortably

My hospital provided ice packs, I used them immediately following delivery but didn’t at all after that. When I did use them I had ticks pads on top of the ice packs. But they were too cold and I didn’t like that feeling! 
The hospital also sent me home with extra of the ice packs (that I didn’t end up using), so I’m glad I didn’t make padsicles!

The hospital gave me cold pack inserts for my pads and they worked great. I only ever really needed the cold packs for the first 24-48 hours with all 3 of my kids.
Then I used dermoplast and tucks pads.

I made them, but I didn't put mine in the freezer, just the fridge. I found that cool enough honestly 🤷🏼‍♀️

I never used ice down there! The dermaplast spray was great. Women say that they are shocked at how cold the homemade pads are and that the pads actually hurt more because of how cold they were!
