Would like to know your stand, and did it affect the baby/child later?

I worked in a NICU for 3 years. Smoking weed often even before your pregnant causes low birth rate and premature birth. For those that smoke it and have healthy babys , they get lucky. It's selfish to risk it.

I personally recommend the use of marijuana for those who support it, ESPECIALLY over the use of ANY kind of pills or otc medication. Now if you really want to educate yourself, go read the back of a Tylenol bottle and then ask yourself which drug is more dangerous- a plant that simply grows from the ground, or a bottle of pills made from 50+ chemicals and substances that if ingested individually, could EASILY kill somebody in a heartbeat. Before anybody tries to say how "terrible" or "deadly" marijuana is, I also recommend you go read in the ingredients inside the repulsive fast food or bag of Doritos you feed your poor unborn child.

I didn't but I have friends who did and had completely healthy smart children. There are more proven side effects from smoking cigarettes.

Well it's up to you I have read both good and bad articles on smoking weed during pregnancy . I smoked till I was eight weeks and had no idea I was pregnant . I quit as soon as I found out. Any kind of smoke is bad for you especially with your babies lungs growing . My friends kids are fine she smoked weed with both of her babies but they had low birth weights. I feel your the mother of your child you should know what's best . I felt like I can be less selfish for once in my life and keep a drug free life till after I'm done being pregnant and breast feeding.

LOL these comments are a joke. First of all, don't even bother putting in your two cents if your opinion is strictly biased and has no logical reasoning and/or factual justification. For all of those saying "shame on you", shame on yourselves for looking incredibly ignorant and flat out stupid. Try doing a little bit of research at the very least before you start repremanding other women for their choices. For the record, there is NO EVIDENCE OR STUDIES that have proven that medicinal marijuana has "harmed" an unborn child. Does it EFFECT the baby? YES. But let's be clear: EFFECT and HARM are two completely different words. NO BIG FAT NO!!!!!!!!!! I have a "friend" who does it EVERY DAY multiple times and big amounts of weed and she makes me SICK TO MY STOMACH!!! I can't stand to even be around her anymore hence "friend" my fiancés sister smokes weed on a regular basis and my "friend" put his sister down by saying "a good mum doesn't smoke weed when she has kids" the thing Is his sister never did it when she was pregnant twice, and she never does it around her kids! I used to put cannabis honey mixed with my hot tea at night to calm my stomach and get a much better night of sleep. There is also vaping, in which none of the plant is actually burned, just evaporated, so you're only inhaling the actual thc from the plant, which is a million times healthier than smoking out of a bowl, bong, or joint, because you're not using any butane, therefore no dangerous smoke or chemicals.

nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, insomnia, headaches, cramps, leg or limb pains, dizziness, and plenty more. I myself used cannabis to treat almost all of these things in my first and second trimester. Of course, keep in mind that marijuana should be used LIBERALLY and only when necessary. Those who abuse it to merely "get high" are ridiculous and should not be using it. Marijuana is a natural, clean, and extremely beneficial medicine (not "drug") that has honestly saved the lives of some women and children. Some girls have actually admitted that without the help and calming effects of cannabis, they would have had abortions because their morning sickness and dehydration was so severe. I think that speaks volumes, don't you? I'd also like to add that marijuana itself is not dangerous, the only hazardous part is the actual inhilation of smoke into the lungs, so it also depends on how you ingest the substance. Edibles are a great substitute, or tinctures.
