Cons with nexplanon ?

So about two months ago now I got nexplanon as my choice of birth control. Only things so far I’ve noticed was weight gain (which has become one of my biggest insecurities & possibly causing a slight case of PPD 😅) and a long jacked up period. Lol. What was your cons or even pros to getting the nexplanon? Just curious.

I had it removed, I bled for months! Made me anemic, had to get a blood transfusion! It was awful

Loved it when I had it because my periods are terrible and I had no periods for three years. It did cause some weight gain and i was a bit more anxious than normal but the pros for sure outweighed the cons 🤷🏻‍♀️ when I had it removed I struggled to get my cycle back to a regular schedule for which was annoying because I was trying to get pregnant. I wouldn’t get it again but it was nice while I was young as I am terrible at taking pills and know with certainty I would have had several pregnancy scares.

Pros- no period 🤘🏼😁 & convenience of course
Cons- mood swings, weight gain, mild but manageable acne

I would never get one, or an iud because I like being in control. (You can stop pills on your own but have to go to an appointment to have a nexplanon removed) 
My best friend also had pretty significant spotting for months; she had to start taking OCPs as well to get the bleeding to stop.
That being said; they are excellent at preventing pregnancy
