2nd month TTC and 2nd month with clotty period. Coincidence?

We started trying to conceive two months ago. The last two months my periods have been really thick and clotty. I've had symptoms both months. Is it just a coincidence that as soon as we start TTC that my periods would be like this or do you think it could be something else? Chemicals? Luteal phase defect? Ect??
