Leaving newborn right after delivery

First time mama here…

I need some advice from the mamas out there…

I’m in medical school, due in January. I was just informed by my program that I will have to attend once weekly clinic shifts (that are 5 hours long with an hour commute each way). This is non negotiable.

Has anyone left their newborn for seven hours one to two weeks after delivering?

I know working moms have been through this. I’m losing my mind about having to leave the baby for that long (when I plan on breast feeding) which means offering a bottle really early on.
