Real contractions or Braxton Hicks?

I already had my show on Friday and I was starting to dilate and thin. My doctor had me get steroid shots to help mature babies lungs because I’m only 36 weeks and he said she could easily come in the next week. Starting Sunday I was nesting really bad, have been nauseous/ no appetite, waking up 1-2 times an hour at night, EXTREMELY thirsty, peeing a lot, and I’ve been having contractions, pressure in hips/pelvis, cramps and back pains. The contractions overall have been irregular but they don’t stop. Yesterday they were happening anywhere from 8-12 minutes apart all day long. Today they are closer more like 5-10 minutes apart but the contractions don’t usually hurt so they are easy to miss if I’m not paying attention. I’ve been calling them as Braxton Hicks but since they are getting closer and last all day I have no clue. The doctors office said I should wait it out until they are close together regularly for an hour. Any advice or opinions?
