I honestly don't know.
My son is a year and a half old, and he stopped nursing when he was between 7 and 8 months old. I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd, and a few days ago my son started biting my nipples! It's been too hot to wear clothes to bed (we co- sleep), and when it's dark he finds them and he bites them. He's never done that before. Does anyone have a similar experience, or have any idea why he might be doing it?
