Unexpected delivery 36+6
So I went to work like it was a normal day. Many of you know I've been having lower back pain for a while now and it's just been "normal" when I mention it to my Drs. So when I got home my DH had dinner prepared and I just started feeling so nauseous. He sat down and ate with our other two kids while I tried to calm myself down. However, no matter what I tried it wouldn't go away. I put on a smile and tried to have some dinner with my boys but couldn't finish. I tried to call my OB but their recording just says to go to the Women's Hospital so we made arrangements for my two boys and got here ASAP. When I got here my symptoms were tightening in my abdomen, lower back pain, pelvic pressure, and nausea. I felt like they were looking at me like I didn't need to be here for something that seemed so insignificant, they took some labs, hooked me up to an IV to push fluids, and checked my cervix. At the time I was 1cm and 75% effaced. I went through two bags of fluid waiting on labs and the dr came back to check me after an hour and a half and just said, "well, this is interesting..." I said EXCUSE ME, what? She said, "You're 4cm dilated. Looks like we are having a baby tonight!" I was so super taken by surprise because I thought I was getting the look like I didn't need to be here at all and then out of the blue my body progressed so fast!! Naturally, I got emotional because this was totally unplanned I hadn't make good set in stone plans for my other kids since I did not expect this at all! I was given this information at 7:30pm and we were rolling into surgery by 8:00pm. My sweet bundle was born at 8:23pm - Kinsley Grace 8lbs 1oz 20in long 🎀
