How to sleep train?

Please give me how to's and tips on sleep training. I don't have much time to search on my own so this would be helpful.

I tried sooo many different methods cause I didn’t want to do the cry it out method. But literally nothing worked. I had to go with the cry it out and it took one long night for him to get it. Then he was sleeping through the night and only fussed about 10 minutes the second night. A lot of it depends on the age of your kiddo and their personality.

We started Ferber at 6 months. We tweaked it a little bit but had good luck with it. It's recommended to start on or after 6 months

I did the Ferber method for my first at 7 months. Basically you go in after certain time frames, comfort but don’t pick up and then leave the room. The time in between “comforts” gets longer each time and longer each day. I had my son trained in 5 days. If you google Ferber method you can get a chart on the minutes in between and spacing.
