Should I find the sex out?

Question

Hi ladies, it’s my first pregnancy and I really want to find the sex of my baby out. A few reasons, one of them being I don’t want to be disappointed at birth I would feel bad knowing that for the rest of my babies life. 
Please can you ladies share with me why you did/ didn’t find out the sex of your babies? 
(I have the gender appointment booked tomorrow so just before I actually take the leap 😬😂)

So we aren’t finding out until birth. It’s our first. We debated it and think this is much more fun. But, I know personally I will probably have gender dissapointment even though I’m super thrilled to have either gender. My husband has always wanted a girl. I know he will be tickled to have a boy. But for me, I’d rather not know until birth bevause I feel like I won’t really have time to be disappointed. I’ll just go into mom mode and be so in love

I am a control freak, so I found out. But because I really don’t like gendered clothing/toys/decor, we didn’t tell anyone else the sex. It was nice to have that little secret.

I found out because I wanted to be able to get gender appropriate things, especially since my child's father already has children of both genders and could help out with that. That and he wanted to know asap

I wanted to wait (this is our second baby) and my husband wanted to find out because he really wanted a girl and didn’t want to feel disappointed (i also really wanted a girl). Since he felt strongly about finding out and i mostly wanted to wait for fun, we went ahead and did the gender scan. 
I have been dealing with antenatal depression and have felt very disconnected from this baby. Once we found out what we were having (a girl! Yay!) i felt SO much more connected and honestly it has helped my antenatal depression. She has a name now, i can buy exactly what i want, and i feel so much more ready and excited! 
This is just my experience but it’s different for everyone and you will do whatever is best for you and your family 💕

We found out when we originally planned not to. I don’t regret it but I would have been happy either way and now I feel like because we know the gender people have bought us way too many clothes. I think it would have been exciting to find out at birth. I wanted to find out because I thought it would be more difficult to find gender neutral things but it’s really not.

With our first I didn't want to find out and my husband did. I finally gave in and said "fine, we know it's a girl anyway so let's just confirm it." Well, my first was definitely a boy. I'm very glad I didn't go my whole pregnancy calling him Cassie just to find out he's was a boy. Literally our whole family swore I was having a girl, even my FIL called the baby Cassie once. Was definitely disappointed for a few days, but then I came around to being a boy mom. My husband best friend was having a boy, too, and it was exciting they could grow up together.
After that I haven't really had gender expectations, but I like calling the baby by their name. We already have names picked out for our children, so it was simply a matter of finding out if this one would be Archie or Izzy.

I've found out with both of my pregnancies. I like knowing so that I can plan better and it helps me to bond with baby ahead of time and really narrow down the list of names. I usually wait until the anatomy scan so it's a nice surprise at the mid point of the pregnancy :)
