So my babies daddy’s going out fishing at 5am! Both babies (4&3) are down with some virus (not covid) fever 100-102.5 I’m in bed with the sicker one the other one’s going to be up at 5am time he wants to go fishing! He starts work at 9! I’m livid he flicked me off like I’m totally unreasonable for telling him not to go bc the morning i can sleep 2hrs if he watches them being that I have to be on the rest of the day.. any other time I wouldn’t care I just know I won’t get any sleep trying to keep watch on the babies fever all night..

Yeah I would be mad. I would feel different if it was a long planned trip or something, but if he’s going to work later then the fishing can wait and he could help out with the sickies

This is gonna be an unpopular opinion but no I wouldn't be mad. It sounds like a very tense situation and things got heated. That's no excuse  for him being rude but you're telling one side of the story. If he wants to go fishing to start his day off right and to clear his head for a while that's okay. If you need a break then that's okay as well. But placing blame is not okay. 
You could possibly let him know that you need some time for yourself and go out as well. Or you could ask your mom or someone close if they could watch the kids for a few hours while you get some peace. I know that is easier said than done but everyone is stressed out right now.. just take a moment for yourself and breathe, calm down, and don't talk to him while you're still heated. That is just going to provoke the situation even more so. I hope everything works out for you.

I say no because my man goes fishing every weekend with my dad. Well he did. Boat is getting fixed so no fishing for a while. But they would leave anywhere between 4 and 6 AM and be gone til 4 or 5 PM. It sucks sometimes but he enjoys it and he works all week so I just deal with it.
