Cockroaches?

So we have two kids and our house is pretty picked up and cleaned. Well the past few days we have seen 3 huge ones? I don’t know what to do? We keep food picked up and dishes done and things clean.  To be honest though I’ve never seen them be this big. When I was younger I grew up in house that had them infested and they were smaller!

Get rid of all paper bags in your house! They love them and often hitch a ride on bags that you get from stores etc. then they make a little nest in the stack under your sink. Could just be a one off but I thought it was worth mentioning bc it’s something we had happen to us

I had this problem in a house I lived in surrounded by pine trees. An exterminator told me the large ones live in pines and evergreens and they see the lights through the windows and are able to sneak in. Has nothing to do with cleanliness.

Get you some roach doctor from Walmart. I moved into a place a few years ago that had them (I didn’t know at first) and this worked like magic. I still live here and haven’t had them in years. It works fast and only cost 10$ a tube.

I’ve heard that the big ones tend to not actually live in your house but they come and go. So they may he coming in because they found food or they could just be looking for something. If it’s small ones you’re likely dealing with an infestation but not necessarily with big ones.

Sometimes it’s the city! Albuquerque sewers are infested and when we lived there we regularly had to call the city to have them spray in addition to calling an exterminator and spraying ourselves.
