Melanoma?

This mole had a raised spot that I accidentally picked and now it has a rough texture? It doesn’t look that scary but I’m worried until my next dermatologist appt which is in august.

I agree I would just mention it to your dermatologist when you go. She can look at it and make documentation. You are doing good just by being aware and getting skin checks. It's been 2 years for me after having a melanoma removed from my right forearm. I had to have surgery and a lymph node biopsy. My biopsy came back clear and I just go for skin checks every 6 months now. Early detection is key. Just keep doing what you're doing

Sometimes moles just look funny. Being in the industry for many years, I can confidently tell you that not all odd looking moles are melanoma. Having said that, it is still best to get it checked out as you are as we can't give you any kind of answer based on a photo.

Get it checked out. The mole on my back that was melanoma, my doctor told me she didn’t think it was but she was going to send it in anyway. 
Better safe than sorry.
