Did you tell you families about miscarriages?

I had a miscarriage last week at about 5.5 weeks into my pregnancy. I hadn’t told anyone that I was pregnant aside from my husband and a close friend, no family. He asked me last night if/when I wanted to tell our families that we had a miscarriage and it made me really question if it’s something I should share, or even want to share. I am not ashamed of the loss, I know that there was nothing I could do and it happens to many women. But I feel weird talking about it to be honest. I just feel a lot of deep sadness and I think I will never stop wondering “what if”. I just want to know if you told your family about a loss, and how did it help/hurt the feelings you were experiencing?
