Medical card while pregnant?

I’ll be 25 weeks on Sunday. I have a medical marijuana card that was given to me during pregnancy. What can CPS do about this when I have the card? Can my baby be taken?

I think if your child tests positive at birth, you’re in trouble. Offices also frequently test women while pregnant. I don’t think your medical “recommendation” means anything when it comes to the child.

No they can not. Especially if it was prescribed to you. I am 24 weeks with cancer and I do edibles every so often because I’m off chemo and symptoms are heightened! If that was the case though almost half the worlds babies would’ve been taken.

No, even if you didn’t have a medical card, it’s extremely rare for CPS to actually remove children from their household due to testing positive for THC only.

No you will not. I smoked marijuana with both of my pregnancies. By law CPS has to be notified that there was THC and baby system. But they will not take your child away from you because of it. They are just notified. Also could be different depending on what state you live in I live in California so it's a lot more relaxed out here when it comes to marijuana. It really helped with my nausea and sleeping issues with my pregnancy. I was losing weight in my second trimester because I could not eat. But no they cannot take your baby from you. I would look at your states regulations when it comes to these things just to make sure.

I know plenty of woman who have and are fine along with the babies! Also you can request that a urine is not done as apart of testing that they do.

I'm not sure where the law falls with this one exactly. I would take it as with any drug (perscription) , that if you are in a state where you are unable to take proper care of the child or are "abusing" your drug, than they very well could for the good of the child.
