Thyroid issues?

Question

Anyone in here have pre-existing thyroid issues or new ones now that you're pregnant? Would love to hear your stories and what the Drs are doin for you! Thank you in advance 😃

I had thyroid cancer 4 years ago. They completely removed my thyroid. Doctors plan to just monitor my levels every 4-6 weeks. They said this should not effect my pregnancy. I'm 7 weeks 2 days :)

I have hashimotos (hypo) I was at 120mcg before I got pregnant and they've upped it twice since (I'll be 8eeeks tomorrow). Now I'm on 150mcg. My endo wants me to get bloodwork every 4 weeks. However, we did ivf so that doctor is taking my blood every week almost making sure things are changing in the right direction.

I have hashimoto's hypo. My TSH went way up when I conceived, but my free t4 is still healthy, so baby is fine. We've upped my levothyroxine dosage twice and now I'm taking 100mcg. I'm told that the elevated levels are common in pregnancy. My endo wants to do bloodwork every four weeks to ensure we keep the levels in the right spot. :)

I have hyperthyroidism and have been taking 100micrograms for a couple of years now. When I initially got the issue my Dr mentioned how my levels should be monitored closely during pregnancy. I've been to the drs and they don't seem to bothered about it any more 😞. Just waiting for my appointment with my midwife who might be able to shed some light on the situation, and whether there is anything in particular I need to do about it.

During my pregnancy with my 3rd child, my thyroid started acting up. I lost a bunch of weight without trying. They've been monitoring my TSH closely. It's borderline hyperthyroidism as of last week. They'll be taking blood monthly from now on. Thyroid issues are nothing to mess around with - especially while pregnant. I hope you're alright!

I have Graves' disease (hyperthyroid) and it kicked in after I delivered my first baby. I am currently on PTU during the first trimester and my levels are being monitored very closely. I will switch to methimazole in the second trimester.

I've been on medication for hypothyroid for almost 6 years. When I got pregnant, my OB monitored my levels more closely.
