Y’all I AM FUMING

So preface: my mother’s best friend is and always has been an alcoholic. To the point where her oldest kids are traumatized and in therapy trying to deal and her youngest doesn’t even care she exists (he was very little when his dad got custody). So the oldest baby sits for me ( I used to baby sit them 🥺) she’s 19. Her sister is 18, and her brother is 10. I’m not gonna go into all the details of how horrible their mother was, it’ll make this post a novel. But shit even I’m a little traumatized by her so I can only imagine how they feel.

Story: my baby sitter took my kids over to my moms house for a bit today. She was under the impression her mom was not there. But she was, and she was drunk. So as soon as she walks in, she hears her moms drunk voice and it sends her into a panic attack. She left the kids with my mom and went to her car to get herself together. When she went back inside, her mom was in her car, and her boyfriend was stumbling around the kitchen HOLDING MY FOUR MONTH OLD BABY. The baby sitter immediately took her away from him and went into the living room where my son was in tears. She asked what was wrong and my mom spoke up and said “your mom was trying to give him a hug and a kiss and he kept saying no and she was trying to force him” YALL SHE SAID MY BOY WAS SHAKING. The baby sitter was like “you didn’t try to stop her” and my mom basically was like “I didn’t think I needed to” HES ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. WHO ELSE IS GOING TO PROTECT HIM??

I’m going to have a conversation with my mom in the morning because if I try to talk to her now, I’ll just explode. I’ve never been this angry with her or anyone else before. I’m fucking shaking. I talked to my son and told him I was proud that he told her no and stuck to it (she didn’t end up getting a hug or a kiss) and I apologized for how she acted. He said “I not in trouble? I no have to give kisses?” And I said “of course you don’t, not to anyone, ever”. And he said okay. But y’all. Pray for my mother because she will NEVER see my kids again if she doesn’t keep them away.
